Welland Colts U11- Updated 16th April 2014

An end of season treat for Welland Colts U11 last Saturday 12th April. The Colts visited "The Hawthorns" straight after a super hard fought battle against top of the league CRADLEY Sports where we won both games in a thrilling double header. Immediately after we headed up the M5 where we had a match day package which included a tour of the stadium, an hour of football fun in the Dome and the all important tickets to see WBA take on Tottenham.

With 6 goals scored in their match and 8 in ours, it was an excellent day of football for all!

Warm-up for the World Cup Final in Brazil with a sponsored walk or dribble over the Malverns to help raise funds for the football club. This event is open to all members of Welland Junior FC, Welland Ladies FC and Welland FC.

Young Players Wearing Spectacles Updated - 29 March 2010
Worcestershire FA have become aware that a number of young people who need spectacles to play the game may be being excluded as the referee or team managers felt it was dangerous. The wearing of spectacles when participating in football is not prohibited but it is crucial they are safe for the both the wearer and all other participants, hence specialist spectacles are required as a minimum. The specialist sports glasses that are available and which are approved by FIFA are approximately £150 per pair which makes them cost prohibitive in most cases. "Caudwell Children” are a national charity who accepts applications from players - more information HERE.
