Club Awards
Junior Clubman Award (Southwell Elmes Shield)
Winners The Junior Clubman shield is presented on behalf of Southwell Elmes by Gordon Bennett. The shield is awarded by the Club, on the recommendation of the Manager / Coach of the Under 11 age group, to the player who has had a good attendance at the training sessions, has been willing to listen and learn, has a good personality and has implemented, during training sessions and in a match situation, what he has learnt over the season.

Southwell Elms, a Welland resident and former owner of ‘The Pheasant Inn’ was a member of a Welland senior team during the 1950s. Southwell was the Club's first sponsor donating a football kit plus a shield for Junior Clubman.

(Footnote - Liam Pickering (the young lad in yellow above). Liam has progressed from a young player to a very active Club Committee Member as well as taking on the roles of: Senior Team Manager; Referee Appointments Secretary and Secretary for Welland Teams in The Ambassador League.)


Senior Clubman Award (Jim Bennett Shield)
Winners

The Senior Clubman Shield is presented by Gordon Bennett in memory of his brother, Jim Bennett, killed in action during the Second World War. The shield is awarded by the Club, on the recommendation of the Manager / Coach of the Under 16 age group, to the player who has had a good attendance at the training sessions, has been willing to listen and learn, has a good personality and has implemented, during training sessions and in a match situation, what he has learnt over the season.

Gordon Bennett is a Welland resident and retired policeman who has been a long-time supporter of The Club and what we do. The Jim Bennett Shield is in memory of Gordon's brother who was shot down in Scilly during the Second World War.


Sam Clifford Memorial Shield
Winners The Sam Clifford Memorial Shield is presented by his family in memory of Sam who tragically died in a freak accident with his father Billy on 27th October 1999. The shield is awarded by the Club, on the recommendation of the Manager / Coach of the Under 14 age group, to the player who has had a good attendance at the training sessions, has been willing to listen and learn, has a good personality and has implemented, during training sessions and in a match situation, what he has learnt over the season.

John Craddock Award
Winners Each year we remember John with Simon presenting, on ‘World Cup Day’, the much coveted ‘John Craddock Award for Excellence’. This award is presented to a senior team member who demonstrates dedication and commitment to the sport and his team members, works hard at training, is reliable and an above average footballer.

Spitalfield Shield
Winners The Spitalfield Shield is awarded by the Club, on the recommendation of all the Non League Managers and Coaches to the player who has had a good attendance at the training sessions, has been willing to listen and learn, has a good personality and has implemented, during training sessions and in a match situation, what he has learnt over the season.

Girls Shield (Gordon Bennett Shield)
Winners The Girls Shield was donated and presented by Gordon Bennett. The shield is awarded by the Club, on the recommendation of the Manager / Coach of the Under 16 age group, to the player who has had a good attendance at the training sessions, has been willing to listen and learn, has a good personality and has implemented, during training sessions and in a match situation, what she has learnt over the season.
Managers' & Players' Awards
Winners

Each year the Manager of each age group selects a player who, in their opinion, has had a good attendance at the training sessions, has been willing to listen and learn, has a good personality and has implemented, during training sessions and in a match situation, what he has learnt over the season.

Each year the league players vote on which team member they consider has a good personality and has implemented on the pitch in a match situation what he has learnt over the season.
