Chairman's Pitch Drainage Scheme Update Updated - 27 Jan 2010
To enable the pitch drainage to take place, the Spitalfield pitches will be closed until the opening of the Pavilion Building. In the meantime we will endeavour to provide alternative training venues. We would like to thank you all for your patience at this frustrating time.

Welland Pitch Drainage Scheme Updated - 21 Jan 2010
We have a contractor installing a new drainage system into the pitch at Welland. The first quarter of the pitch was completed many months ago and the system is working well. Since then the pitch has either been waterlogged or frozen and the contractor cannot access the pitch with the heavy machinery. Once the pitch has dried out this work can be completed and hopefully we will have very few training session cancellations next season.

Sponsor Dave Hall Updated - 18 Jan 2010
WJFC Dave HallHi - I'm Dave Hall and I was a coach/manager at Welland Juniors from 1998 to 2007, managing the league team from 2002 (Under 11) to 2007 (Under 15). In May 2008, I was diagnosed with heart failure and am now on drugs for life to control my condition. I have been walking for exercise since leaving hospital and on 4th November 2009, I started my "50 marathons walking challenge". I'm walking the equivalent of 50 marathons for my 50th year to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. If you would like to know more or perhaps sponsor me, please visit http://original.justgiving.com/dave-hall for more information. Thanks - Dave
